Odoo and UAE e-invoicing

In short: Odoo did not appear on the UAE Ministry of Finance register of Accredited Service Providers on 27 October 2026, so Odoo users in scope connect Odoo to one of the 80 accredited providers. Your Odoo version, whether you use Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or self-hosting, and how heavily invoices are customised decide whether a ready connector works or an integration is needed.

Odoo’s flexibility is the reason many UAE businesses chose it — and the reason e-invoicing projects on Odoo vary so much. Two Odoo installations rarely produce the same invoice data.

What decides your route

  • Version and hosting — Odoo Online, Odoo.sh and self-hosted installations allow different modules and integrations.
  • Localisation — check the UAE accounting localisation is installed and tax configuration is correct before any e-invoicing work.
  • Customisation — custom invoice models, fields and workflows must be mapped deliberately.

Your route

  1. Audit tax configuration and partner records (TRNs, Peppol IDs).
  2. Choose a provider with a maintained Odoo connector for your version — or plan an API integration if your installation is heavily customised.
  3. Map and test invoices, credit notes, multi-currency and a rejected invoice.
  4. Appoint in EmaraTax before your deadline.

Beyond compliance

Odoo already holds orders, receipts and invoices; with structured supplier invoices arriving, matching and approvals can run with little manual work. See invoice automation and ERP integration.
